Pomerans maintenance

Your tip must be rough. Pomerans are made of leather. If the tip is rough, it can hold the chalk well. In the course of time, the cue will start kicking (the cue slides off the ball). With a special sharpening file that you receive when you purchase a cue, you can roughen the tip again. We also have various other shed and sharpening means for your tip. Make sure you "grease" the chalk. So moving the chalk up and down,
and not "erode" the chalk

Various pomerans

Made of cowhide leather or pigskin (layered).
We recommend the layered tip. This because it better holds the chalk. The tip remains better in shape, has good resilience and lasts much longer. The most popular tip in this is the Da Vinci pomerans or Kamui tipers.

Renew pomerans

This can be done professionally with us. Ready while you wait. If you want to renew your tip yourself, follow the instructions here:

  1. Important is that the top of the white cap (ferule) is flat
is and remains. This can be done with a stanley knife or with a "sanding ring" or "cue tip sander Tefco". Never shake the hand because the cap will not be flat but convex and the tip of the tip will not have a good glue surface.
  2. Unwind the bottom of the new tip on a flat piece of sandpaper (better glue connection).
  3. Recommended adhesive "Artemis" pomeranslijm which can be corrected just after gluing.
  4. Clamp the tip after unilateral bonding under a terminal clamp.
  5. After drying (at least 30 min.) You can update the tip with a special tip pen sharpener or carefully with a file.
  6. Sand the top of the tip of the tip (slightly rounded) and roughen.
  7. Ready for use.
