Chester 3/4 snooker cue
This full-size, 58-inch, 3/4" attached cue is manufactured by Peradon in England from the highest quality, kiln-dried North American Ash, and split with Ebonex. Ebonex was developed by Peradon to have the perfect stiffness for the game and to be more consistent in density than any traditional wooden stock, in order to create superior playing characteristics.

Production & Specifications

The shaft is carefully selected for strength and straightness before the Ebonex composition is hand-glued to the cue and the cue is shaped to produce the characteristic four-point pattern of a hand-glued cue.

A Zebrano front joint and sycamore and light blue veneer are subsequently glued to the rear section to further enhance the appearance.

The cue is then converted to the final tapered finish before the numerous sanding and finishing processes are carried out to achieve a 'silk-smooth' finish.

To eliminate joint problems, the two sections of the 'quick action' connection are each precisely turned from a single piece of solid brass and positioned exactly 14" from the end of the butt, resulting in a shaft length of 44".

The stock is finished with a Peradon Chester nameplate and a quick-action butt joint, compatible with any screw extension available within our Peradon extension range.

Extensions can be inserted into both the 3/4-inch joint in the cue and the butt end joint.

This cue has a solid brass ferrule and a 9 1/2 to 10 mm Elkmaster tip.

The quality of the shaft is of the utmost importance in the making of a cue. Shafts are extensively selected, where only a small percentage of the machined parts determines the quality for the production of these cues. To maintain the highest selection standards, Peradon purchases more shaft than any other English cue maker. For the highest quality hand-glued cues like these, the selection process is even stricter.
