Buffalo introduces an innovation in billiards with the Royal Plus Cloth, made of a mix of polyester and viscose fibres. A real carom cloth, very suitable for three-cushion, at a competitive price.
The Royal Plus cloth has undergone various rigid tests, carried out by a number of seasoned billiard experts. Their conclusion: In terms of lifespan and performance, the cloth can easily compete with the well-known A-brands.
This research was not done overnight.
The Buffalo Royal Plus cloth has been put to the test to gain more insight into the dragging and sliding friction and the lifespan of the cloth. The performance of the ball has also been recorded with a High Speed Camera, in order to be able to make the comparison with conventional cloths.
The outcome is positive. The Royal Plus Cloth has a number of properties that are highly valued by 3-cushion players. Such as longer spin retention and a longer launch. The thin cloth runs very quickly and does not absorb moisture like woolen cloths do. The composition of the fibres and the weaving method used (90 degree angle, instead of 60 degrees) give the fabric extra strength, flexibility and shine.
