ABOUT RENE PIERRE

Since 1952 a French family business of billiard masters and furniture makers.

In 1952, Mr. René Pierre founded his company in Ranchot, a town in the French Jura. He started manufacturing football tables in a garage. At the time, they were sent to the north of France to be sold. In April of the same year, his municipality gave him a wooden shoe workshop. He then invested in a woodworking machine to make football tables and pool tables. This was the real start of his business.

Soon the factory in Ranchot became too small to meet the increasing demand and a growing number of new customers. Then Mr. Pierre decided to build new offices with an area of 8,000 square meters. Since then, the company has grown successfully in France and around the world.

The company first focused on professionals, but it was soon decided to also work for private individuals, so that everyone could enjoy René Pierre's products.

In 1977, the company opened its first store in Paris. This was a success and other stores in Lyon, Chalon-sur-Saône and Bordeaux followed suit. Nowadays, billiards and football tables have become a worldwide family game, allowing both children and adults to have a great exciting time.

RenePierre Billiards:

The French brand René Pierre was the first to equip its private billiard table with a metal frame.

An extra guarantee of flatness is that the billiard tables from René Pierre are equipped with one-piece or three-piece slate tables, extracted from the best slate in the world.

Likewise, the sheets that René Pierre's upholsterers use to cover the table are of superior quality, Iwan Simonis approved by the Billiards Federation.

Some billiard tables such as those in the Excellence range require over 100 hours of full artisan work, assisted from start to finish by a master billiard maker.

Finally, and since quality is only valid if it is constant, every René PIERRE custom billiard table is fully assembled and dismantled in the workshop before being delivered to the customer unassembled in a wooden crate. The customer can then choose to build the billiards themselves, or to use our installation service.
