McDermott top end for your billiard cue
Would you like to buy a McDermott cue tip ? At Van den Broek Biljarts, we are happy to help you choose a suitable tip for your cue. Whether as a replacement for your current tip or as a spare for training and matches.
Continue using your trusted cue
Is your current top worn or damaged? With a matching new top, you can continue using the familiar butt of your McDermott cue.
An extra tip is also handy when your cue tip needs maintenance. Additionally, you can choose a different tip or diameter to suit your playing preference.
Which McDermott tip fits your cue?
Always check the connection and design when making your choice. Not every shaft fits every McDermott cue automatically. Therefore, check the product specifications and pay attention:
The connection to the base.
The material at the top end.
The length and cue tip diameter.
The type of Cumberant and the hardness.
Suitability for your cue and style of play.
Are you unsure about the right connection? We are happy to help you find a suitable version.
Choose a bitter orange that suits you
The cue tip influences contact with the cue ball and the feel during the shot. Would you like to try the same tip as on your current cue shaft, or a different version? Check the relevant product to see which tip is fitted and what options are available.
You can also come to Van den Broek Biljarts to replace your cue tip .

Important information regarding the purchase of an extra top end / shaft
When purchasing an extra shaft , it is important to pay close attention to the wooden screw joint . Even if you buy a shaft from the same brand as your cue, that does not automatically mean it will fit perfectly . Wooden joints are made individually and can always vary slightly in size or fit.
Be careful when tightening
Is the top end screwing too tightly into the bottom end? Then never overtighten. Forcing it can damage or even break the threads , resulting in permanent damage.
Possible solutions
There are a few safe ways to improve an overly tight wooden fit yourself:
Sprinkle talcum powder lightly on the screw thread and try again.
Apply graphite (with a regular pencil) to the screw thread
Very fine sandpaper (use only very carefully and exclusively on the wooden part)
These methods can sometimes make the fit just smooth enough without causing damage.
Never use wet or greasy lubricants
Never use soap, wax, oil, grease, or other wet lubricants . You might be able to assemble the cue with these, but often won't be able to take it apart again — with a high risk of permanent damage.
Is it still not working?
If talcum powder, graphite, or fine sandpaper still doesn't work , send the entire cue to us. We can make the fit professional and secure.
