Pool balls - Van den Broek Billiards

At Van den Broek Biljarts we offer a wide range of high-quality pool balls in different qualities. Our advice is to choose pool balls from Dynaspheres or Aramith , as these are made of durable synthetic resin. This makes the balls last longer and they do not leave streaks on the billiard cloth. We have pool balls in various sizes, suitable for every player!

Dimensions of Pool Balls

The standard size for almost all pool tables is 57.2 mm in diameter. It is possible that the cue ball on coin-operated pool tables has a different size. These balls sometimes contain a bit of metal, which causes the numbered balls to go into the rail and the cue ball to be returned. The lifespan of pool balls is generally slightly longer than that of carom billiard balls, but the cue ball must be replaced more often, especially when the cloth is replaced.

Pool Billiards Rules

Pool billiards is played with 15 colored pool balls and one white cue ball. For the game of nine-ball, 9 numbered pool balls and one white cue ball are used. The goal of pool billiards is for the player to indicate which ball he is going to pocket and in which pocket with each shot. It is played with one white cue ball and 15 object balls. One player must pocket numbers 1 to 7 (plain balls) and the other player must pocket numbers 9 to 15 (striped balls). The player who is the first to pocket all the balls in his group and then pockets the black 8-ball according to the rules wins the game.
