The Cue Doctor Dent Bufferhas created a lot of positive buzz, and it's well deserved. Any cue can get those annoying nicks and dents in the shaft that can affect overall concentration. This tool is simple, convenient and effective at removing those dents without damaging the wood with steam or alcohol. It is made of tempered borosilicate glass to ensure the highest quality and consistency.Simply rub the glass rod lightly and vigorously over the dent in the shaft until the clicking sound of the dent fades, while the dent is smoothed out. This product can also be used to shine your worn Irish linen shawls or smooth out frays and scratches. It has repeatedly received high ratings and critical acclaim and is well worth any player's consideration.

Product features:

  • The simplicity of the revolutionary new Dent Buffer is surpassed only by its convenience
  • It was developed after years of research by a glassblower whose passion for swimming pools required excellence in his equipment
  • The Dent Buffer smoothes the jagged edge of the dent and helps the crushed fibers of the wood swell with heat generated by the friction of rubbing. This makes the dent much less noticeable when the cue shaft is hammered into the bridge of the hand
  • The material used in the Dent Buffer is specially formulated and made from the finest glass available. Glass has some highly desirable properties not found in metals, plastics or acrylic - Glass will not rub off

Directions:

Place the tool with one end in the palm of your hand and the other end under and at the tip of the index finger. Gently rub the shaft in the area of the indentation until you hear a "tapping" sound. If you find it, start applying more pressure and speeding up the rubbing while also turning the shaft back and forth. The tapping sound will fade as the nick is smoothed out. Stroke the shaft in your bridge hand to see if it feels as desired. If not, repeat the process. Excessive pressure can damage the shaft. Quick strokes, building heat and moderate pressure will give you the best results.

Warning

DO NOT use on urethane or polymer coated cue shafts, cue stocks or coated Irish linen wrap. These finishes are brittle and will peel under pressure.

The Dent Buffer is not a miracle cure and larger or deeper nicks may require professional cue repair.
