![]() | OVERVIEW OF COMPOSITE SHAFTS The composite fiber shafts are completely different from the wooden ones. First of all, they are not derived from the processing of solid material, but are based on tubes formed by various layers of synthetic fibers. The technical characteristics of the game change due to the number and type of layers. In general, a fiber shaft has much more strength than a wooden one. This is the reason why it has been used for more than 25 years for the Italian game, in which the opponent's ball must travel long distances on the table. |
![]() | MATCH YOUR TASTE The Longoni team currently proposes 4 types of synthetic fibers, not all of which are available for the various disciplines. The fibercomp (white) has good power and control, k-max and woodcomp (k-max covered with a maple-like look) have good ball control, and the graphite has power and accuracy. |
![]() | 2DF - DOUBLE DENSITY FOAM To improve balance and acoustics, we have created a long hole in all laminated shafts close to the joint area, which is filled with a special foam. This material compensates for density, absorbs vibrations, and improves balance. |
![]() | FIBER LONGONI GUARANTEE Despite the wooden shafts, those made of fiber are non-deformable and resistant to moisture. For proper cleaning, we recommend the RED TOUCH by longoni cloth, which requires no chemical products. To restore the satin effect of the shafts, we recommend the "NO BLUE POLISH" product by longoni and the ABRADO MICRO SANDING PAPERS KIT. The longoni fiber shafts come with a 24-month warranty against manufacturing defects. |
![]() | MADE WITH THE WORLD CHAMPIONS Players from the Longoni team play an important role in the development of our shafts, because thanks to the skills of the best talents from around the world, we can create excellent shafts. All our models are tested and approved by our champions to guarantee maximum results and satisfaction for our customers. The results speak for themselves: the most important world-class titles have been won with our shafts. |
![]() | MADE IN ITALY: YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW All Longoni axles, including the laminated ones, are produced entirely and uniquely in Italy at the factory in Mariano Comense using techniques and machines developed by us. The processing cycle of each shaft takes at least 24 months: from the moment you cut the board until the moment it reaches billiard tables all over the world. The decision to continue producing entirely in Italy was driven by the desire to have a product that differs from all others in terms of quality and technology, always under the strict control of our staff. |
![]() | FIBER SHAFTS: PRECISION AND TRACEABILITY All Fiber shafts are uniquely numbered to trace the production date. Each shaft is also labeled to state the product specification, including code, name, diameter, and exact weight. The label, in addition to displaying this data, serves as a further guarantee of authenticity. Prior to labeling, each shaft is individually inspected on a test table to prevent warping and other defects. To report the correct weight and diameter, we use a digital precision scale connected to the system and a laser micrometer. |
