Buy layered tips for your billiard cue
A layered tip consists of multiple thin layers of leather glued together. The tip forms the point of contact between your cue and the cue ball. The finish and hardness influence the feel during the stroke.
At Van den Broek Biljarts, you will find layered cue tips in various diameters and hardnesses. Compare the versions for carom, pool, and snooker. We are happy to help you choose based on your cue, game style, and personal preference.
Why choose a layered orange peel?
Layered cue tips have been developed with attention to shape retention, resilience, and chalk retention . The properties vary by brand and model. Installation and maintenance also determine how the tip feels and how long it lasts.
The number of layers is not the only thing you should pay attention to. Also compare the type of leather, hardness, and diameter to choose a suitable version.
Soft, medium, or hard?
Many layered cue tips are available in soft, medium, and hard . Some series also offer a super soft version.
A soft tip generally provides a softer feel upon ball contact. A harder version feels firmer. Which hardness plays comfortably depends on your shot and personal preference.
The designations are not the same for every brand. A medium orange from one brand may feel different from a medium from another brand. Therefore, use your current orange as a starting point when you want to switch.
