Carrom

Carrom is a game that resembles a combination of billiards and shuffleboard. It is played on a 74 cm x 74 cm board made of polished wood or glass. Due to the hardwood edge, the playing pieces bounce back well. The object of the game is to use your fingers to shoot the largest and heaviest disc on the board, the plastic playing disc, in such a way that it bounces off the smaller stones in one of the holes in the corners. For a better glide the board is sprinkled with Carrom powder. Sometimes talcum powder is also used.
