Repair thread and closure

A damaged or worn joint can cause the top end to no longer align properly with the butt end. The cue may develop play or become difficult to tighten and loosen.

We repair and replace various wooden and metal screw connections. In some cases, we can also replace a traditional wooden screw with a modern VP2 or Uni-Loc lock.

For repairs to the fastener, we usually need both the top and bottom ends. This allows us to check whether both parts fit together properly after the repair.

Renew wooden screw thread

Wooden screw threads can wear out or become damaged due to prolonged use. As a result, the top end may become loose or no longer screw properly onto the bottom end.

We can remake or renew wooden screw threads. For this repair, always send the top end and the corresponding bottom end along.

Would you like a thinner neck for more feel while playing? We can precisely thin and polish solid wood necks.

Not every shaft can be made thinner. Hollow, composite, and certain carbon shafts are not suitable for this. If in doubt, please contact us in advance.

Align or straighten the head

When a top end is misaligned with the bottom end, this can sometimes be corrected. We first assess what is causing the deviation.

Depending on the cue, the butt joint, the tip, or the connection can be adjusted. Not every bent cue can be fully straightened. We discuss what is technically possible in advance.

Top end polishing and coating

A wooden neck can feel rough due to skin oils, chalk, and dirt. We can professionally clean, polish, and refinish the neck.

After the treatment, the top feels smoother again. The wood is also better protected against dirt and moisture.

New winding for a pool cue

Is the linen wrapping on your pool cue worn, loose, or dirty? We can remove the old wrapping and apply a new one.

A well-applied winding ensures a neat appearance and a comfortable grip during play.

Replace rings and bands

A torn spacer, center ring, or bottom ring can cause further damage to the cue. Therefore, have a damaged ring checked and replaced in a timely manner.

We remove the damaged ring and make a matching new one. It is then neatly finished so that it fits the cue properly.

Adjusting the weight of a cue

Would you like to make your billiard cue slightly heavier? For suitable cues, we can install or adjust a weight screw in the butt end.

Not every cue has the same weight system. Therefore, we first check which adjustment is possible.

Pack the cue securely in a suitable tube or sturdy box. Ensure that the parts cannot shift during transport.

Upon receipt, we will inspect the cue and carry out the ordered repair. If we find any other damage, we will contact you first. After the repair, we will send the cue back well-packaged and with track and trace.

Visit our workshop

You can also bring your cue to our store in Almere during our opening hours. We can often carry out minor repairs immediately. For specialized repairs to threads, closures, rings, or windings, we usually need more time.
